Keyston Bros. Silver Saddle Set Circa 1930-1940 Keyston Bros. silver and gold saddle - brown two tone with breast collar, corona blanket, and bridle. The Keyston Bros. Saddlery started in 1906 in San Francisco CA. By the 1920's they were the largest saddle and harness manufacturers on the Pacific coast. They are still in business today. The silver on this saddle was possibly made by a McCabe silversmith. The typical Keyston gold horseheads are on all corner plates, horncap, cantle back, tapaderos, breastcollar and bridle. The bridle features a chain-and-concho drop, and a silver bit that looks original. Although this outfit has been used, it is in very good condition, with the saddle in excellent condition. There have been repairs to the bridle leather, making it functional. This is a wonderful outfit which can be used in the Rose Parade or put on display. Price: on request stock# keyst0...9 |
