These come out of the Robert Gallegos Collection and were collected within the vicinity of Acoma Pueblo. Umarked McCabe Buckle
Circa 1930's

While we found no markings, we still believe this to be a McCabe buckle because of the trademark engraving. The 10K yellow gold figure in the center is "Little Newt." Buckles with this figure were given as gifts from an Apple Valley, CA real estate executive who was friends with Roy Rogers. The "AL" is 10K green gold, added later, but possibly by the same engraver who crafted the buckle. Incredible detail in the background. The letters "AL" are finely outlined on the top. Size: L: 3 3/4" x W: 2 3/4". Fits a 1 1/2" belt.
