Bemis Bros. Wildlife Calendar

This unique calendar of lithographs on canvas was produced to show the superior graphic capabilities of the Bemis Bros. Bag Company for printing on bags that were, in 1903, used for everything from grain to laundry. The Art Nouveau artwork is beautiful, and the range of color stunning. Cayuse has preserved each page in a conservation frame: UV blocking glass and acid-free matting was used. Each piece is 15" high and 10.75" wide, in a larger frame. In an interesting coincidence, we have found that the Bemis Bros. Bag Co. is still in business and are celebrated their 150th anniversary in 2008. In this turbulent time, it's nice to know that some companies have survived the Civil War, the Depression, and Disco!

A note about condition: Each page is in fine condition. There is a vertical slit near the top of each page which was used for hanging the calendar on a nail - it is generally unobtrusive. A few of the pages have very light staining or slightly uneven color, most of which is very hard to see without close scrutiny.
