Oval Zuni Trophy Buckle

Circa: 1980

Large Zuni oval trophy buckle of sterling. This one is fairly recent, but has a great Native Cowboy look to it. The edges have filework, and then are set with teardrop turquoise stones all the way around. Two typical Zuni florets of turquoise are on either side of a bareback horse rider, which is overlayed onto the textured sterling surface. The bronc figure is probably one that could be purchased by the silversmith and is probably not Zuni made. It is silverplate over copper (the balance of the buckle is all sterling). Marked AA on the back. 4 1/2" long x 3" high, and could fit up to a 2" belt.

Circa: 1970

An older style, Navajo bracelet catches the eye with four light colored turquoise stones, all touched with matrix which give each stone a unique look, then pulled together by sun-like stamping on the edges and raised sterling knobs inbetween each hand-made setting. Marvelous in it's overall appeal!

Price: $350.00

Heavy Sandcast Bracelet

Circa: 1930-40

The design of this weighty and handsome, all sterling bracelet is an open work version of early Navajo Ketohs, or bowguards. Ketoh designs were usually symmetically balanced and bold, as is the case in this particular bracelet.

Large Concho Belt

Circa: 1930

Large, wonderful Navajo concho belt circa 1930 - 1940. The belt consists of 6 oval conchos, 7 butterfly spacers, and large rectangular buckle. Each concho is 4" x 3.5". Each butterfly is 3 1/8" x 1 1/2". All pieces have one oval blue turquoise stone with dark brown matrix. The buckle is 4 1/4" x 4 3/4", and has the same oval stone in the center, and four additional stones on each outside edge. The buckle stamping matches the conchos and butterflies, and is almost certainly original to the piece. It's very heavy. In it's present configuration, it is 37 1/2" long (removing one concho and one butterfly). The leather is recent and could be changed to make the belt shorter or longer.

Price: $7,200.00
