Sheep in Coulee Collotype, L.A. Huffman circa 1890 Layton A. Huffman was one of the most candid photographers of the northern plains and as such, his work is now regarded as rich in historical context. Charlie Russell and other contemporaries actually copied many of his images in their paintings, since the west that Huffman captured had disappeared by the time the artists put the life on canvas. This is a large format collotype. A large group of sheep spills down a drainage, with a riderless horse trailing behind. This is a famous image of Huffman's. Original, created by Huffman. Photo circa 1890, Collotype circa 1910. 16 3/8" x 25 1/2" in larger mat. Can be shipped rolled without mat. Price: $1,500.00 Stock#lahuff...1010 |
