Salesman's Sample Club Chairs

Salesman's Sample/Model Club Chair - Green . In the style
of Thomas Molesworth, but showing turned larchwood. Leatherette
covering in green vareigated leatherette, with blue back, red
piping and woven tape trim. Complete with furniture tacks and
cushion tack with button. This one has a tag stating that it
was purchased at the Hiscock Studios. Hiscock was a photographer
from Cody, Wyoming, who no doubt sold these cute little chairs
to tourists, capitalizing on the fame of Cody neighbor Thomas
Molesworth. According to Marc Taggart, noted Molesworth expert,
Molesworth was influenced by, and sometimes even ordered parts
from, the Midwestern furniture makers who probably made these
chairs. 8" by 7" by 7.5".

Ranch Log Chair

Wonderful log chair with stout legs and side pieces, and graceful
vertical dowels in the back. Probably from the same ranch as
the log side table. Circa 1930. 39.5" high, 20.5" wide,
and 20" deep.

Montana Lodgepole Chair
Circa: 1930
Peeled lodgepole armchair circa 1930, from a Montana ranch
or dude ranch. With pole legs and spokes, and half-round pole
trim, half round log arms, and a large log portion across the
back. Plank seat. 37" high x 23" wide x 20" deep.
This is a nice, rustic piece showing expertise in construction.

Child's Toy Wardrobe
Circa: 1930
Child's wardrobe made during the Depression by Mildred Oestoff's
father for her 3rd birthday. It was constructed from whatever
scraps were available--shipping crates, several of the drawers
are cigar boxes, the doorknob is a spool, etc. Would make a great
jewelry box. 26" x 6.5".

Red Tacked Trunk
Circa: 1900
Wonderful old wood and pressed tin trunk on wheels. The top
has red tin plates, wooden ribs and wooden sides. 36 1/2"
by 22 1/2" by 19.5" high.

Interesting ranch cabinet circa 1950 - made from plank or
plywood, with hand painted morning glories and blue glass knobs.
This hangs on a wall and would be great in a bathroom. Two cupboards

Home-Made Phonograph Cabinet
Circa: 1940
With brands over the front and top lid. Speaker is in the
form of a cutout brand "Diamond Bench" with a "G"
in the center. Old radio works, phonograph works except sound
is not transferred (loose wire?). Cabinet measures 16" by
30" by 44."
